Theme: "Samsara / The Cycle of Existence" The setting of my paintings is a tropical rainforest somewhere on the equator—my personal utopia. I imagine this rainforest as a paradise devoid of people and free from all worldly suffering. I depict the flowers, fruits, seeds, plants, and rain of this paradise as they "vibrate" and "fall." The "vibration" represents the vital activities of life. The "falling" expresses the scene where flowers wither, seeds drop, and rain moistens the earth to sprout new life, continuously creating this sanctuary. In this paradise, life cycles endlessly and quietly. Because there are no humans, there is no sorrow or fear of death. No one seeks the meaning of living or dying. By painting this paradise, I contemplate the significance of humans living through many experiences and eventually passing away.
